About 6 weeks after the Astra-Zeneca vaccine was introduced into Europe to help combat Covid-19 infections, its use was suspended. It was feared that the vaccine was causing blood clots in those who were receiving it. Of the 17 million people who had been injected, 38 had developed blood clots so people inferred there was an association between the two observations.
